Growing demand for connectivity and digital services
Consumers and businesses alike are demanding ever faster, more accessible and more reliable connectivity. This trend is driven by changes in usage, such as the digitization of retail and essential services such as healthcare and education, the emergence of new business services linked to 5G such as predictive maintenance, and the rise of immersive technologies such as virtual reality. In response, telecoms players are making large-scale investments in very high-speed networks (fiber, 5G, satellite), data storage (cloud, data centers) and new technologies and services such as AI, cybersecurity, and “as a service” connectivity solutions.
